This is a walkthrough for setup on the “SWBTS” wireless network at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. This walkthrough was performed using Windows 10.
Click on the Start Menu in the bottom left corner of the screen. And then click on settings.
From the Settings window, click on Network & Internet.
Scroll to the bottom and click on “Network and Sharing Center”
Click on “Set up a new connection or network”.
Choose the option to “Manually connect to a wireless network.” Then click next.
In the connection setup box, title the network “SWBTS”(all CAPS) and choose the security type “WPA2-Enterprise” and for the Encryption Type choose “AES.” You may want to check the box “Start this connection automatically” if you want wireless connectivity whenever it is available. Then click next.
Do NOT Click close.Click Change connection settings.
Go to the security tab and click on Protected EAP settings.
Uncheck “Verify the servers identity by validating the certificate”. Select OK.
After clicking OK, click the “Advanced settings button”.
From the 802.1X settings tab, check the “Specify authentication mode:” and select “User authentication”. Click “Save Credentials”. In the box, put in your credentials for WebAdvisor.
Continue clicking “OK” until you have closed the screens.
Select the wireless symbol in the bottom right corner of the screen. Within the wireless connection window, click on SWBTS and select Connect. The computer will now connect to the network.
